Hawthorne Heights is an emo rock band hailing from Dayton, Ohio. The band comprises vocalist and rhythm guitarist JT Woodruff, bass guitarist Matt Ridenour, lead guitarist Mark McMillon, and drummer Chris Popadak. They broke out as they released their albums, "The Silence in Black and White" in 2004 and "If Only You Were Lonely" in 2006. Overall, they have released seven albums.

The 90s and early 2000s emo scene would only flourish as it was with the emo legend Jimmy Eat World. Their album "Clarity," released in 1999, is significant to the golden age of the emo genre in the years that came after. Among their best releases is their album "Bleed American" in 2001, which spawned the radio staple song "The Middle." They have released ten albums in their long career. Their most recent release is "Surviving" in 2019. The band's lineup includes Jim Adkins, Zach Lind, Tom Linton, and Rick Burch.

Yellowcard's punk rock continues to be as youthful as it was in 2000. They became popular due to their distinct style by using violins predominantly in their songs. They are known for the songs "Ocean Avenue," "Only One," and "Lights and Sounds." The current band members are Ryan Key, Sean Mackin, Ryan Mendez, and Josh Portman.

Other bands from the festival lineup include Bayside, Anberlin, Emery, Just Friends, and Bug Bath. Bayside is a punk rock band known for the songs "Devotion and Desire" and "I've Been Dead All Day." Anberlin is an alt-rock band popular for the single "The Feel Good Drag." Emery, a post-hardcore rock band, made waves with the song "Walls" in 2004. Representing funk rock, Just Friends put out compositions like "Ryerson." Last among the performers is "Obsessed" singer Bug Bath.
